Data Deletion

Last updated: July 28, 2026

You can stop Google access immediately and request deletion of data associated with your Ida account.

1. Revoke Google Access

  1. Open your Google Account permissions
  2. Select Ida from the list of connected applications
  3. Choose the option to remove or delete Ida's access and confirm

Revocation prevents Ida from making future Calendar or Gmail API requests. Gmail message content shown by the recent-email feature is fetched on demand and is not persisted in Ida's database or content index.

2. Clear Local Ida Data

Sign out of Ida to clear the active session. To remove locally stored content, uninstall Ida and delete its application data from your device. Before doing so, export or back up anything you want to keep.

3. Request Account or Server-Data Deletion

Email hello@tryida.com from the email address associated with your Ida account. Use the subject Ida data deletion request and identify the workspace or account data you want deleted.

We may ask you to verify account ownership before completing the request. We will confirm the request, explain any information we must retain for security, fraud prevention, legal, or financial-record obligations, and process eligible deletion in accordance with applicable law.

What Each Action Does

  • Revoke Google access: Stops future Google API access
  • Sign out or uninstall: Clears the active session or local application data
  • Submit a deletion request: Starts deletion of eligible Ida account and server-stored workspace data

These actions are separate. Revoking Google access does not automatically delete unrelated Ida workspace data, and deleting Ida data does not delete messages or events in your Google Account.
